Came across this strange video of a band "the kids" are going wild about:
How to react to something like this?
Well firstly I think you react to just the music without the visuals, and I think it's pretty good stuff. Obviously it has pretty odd time signatures and weird in between notes. And there's no singing, at least in the traditional sense. But you can definately rock out to the tunes.
Then there is the performance and visuals. In some ways this reminds me of a band like KLF who invented a whole wacky mythology (based on the very strange Illuminatus Triogy), in order to promote their band.
In that case was all part of an in joke and a way to get their music out there (they actually wrote a tongue-in-cheek manual for how to have a pop hit). So it was part laughing at the industry, part using controversy and weirdness to get seen.
I wonder if it's the same with Angine De Poitrine?
